The Genesis of the Foundation

In 2012, Robin A. Lee, Grandson of Arthur Lee, set up The Arthur Lee Private Foundation and charitable Trust with the purpose of educating the public about the life and the works of Arthur Lee.

“As an artist, I believe in the enduring virtues of design, drawing, living form, rhythm and proportion. I prefer the intense animal reliefs by the Assyrian artists to the anonymous sculpture of Egypt. I prefer the sculpture of Greece to that of the Romans, and the renaissance to our time. I believe in Greek art, Michelangelo, Shakespeare and Beethoven: In other words, I believe in the strongest spiritual virtues.” – Arthur Lee.

Robin Lee has followed in his grandfathers footsteps by creating his own line of classic sculptures and land scape paintings.

Nature of Mission and Activities:

The Arthur Lee Private Foundation charitable Trust is organized and exists under the laws of the state of Florida. The foundation was established in 2012 by his grandson Robin A. Lee. the primary purpose of the foundation is to perpetuate the artistic legacy of the 20th century sculptor Arthur Lee for the public benefit. To achieve this goal, the foundation sponsors a traveling exhibition of sculptures and drawings by Arthur Lee; oversees the production of a limited number of casts made from plasters by Arthur Lee to expand and strengthen his connection with the public, through loans, gifts and sales. Also maintaining an archive of books, magazines and other publications concerning Arthur Lee, his works and career.
